Moving your files

If your office has a large number of files to move, part of the our planning process includes collecting statistics on the file volume and type per business unit, performing assessments and promoting culling exercises. This helps your filing move seamlessly into the correct cabinet in the new location, enables restraints on volumes to be put in place, promotes culling and a clear desk policy.

After the move, this can help to reduce the time your team spend searching for files.

If you find you have files you don't need to move and should be destroyed, we offer a secure shredding service.

Move management services allow your staff to spend their time on your business

We will assist you to select business unit representatives, who will then cascade information about the move to the organisation. This can happen through workshops, guidelines, and welcome packs so that everyone at your business knows what, where, which, and when milestones and goals need to be completed.

Furniture audits

We also suggest creating an inventory of existing furniture in your office before the move. This will ensure the correct type and shape of furniture arrives at its destination - and will identify any non-conforming products such as not company standard or broken furniture. In addition, it will highlight what new furniture is required for your new office space.

Should you wish to dispose of or donate some or all of your existing office furniture, we can help you with this as well.

Health & Safety

We will provide all necessary method statements and risk assessments for your move. This will point out any potential hazards which could result in injury so they can be solved prior to your relocation. This also assures that you're in compliance with all of your health and safety obligations.

On moving day

On the day of your relocation, a BCL Office Moving manager will be on site during the move to brief, direct, co-ordinate and keep things moving according to plan. This means quality is assured and nothing about your office move is left to chance.

After the move

If you like we can offer a "setting in service" to assist your team to get things up and running how they want them. Even with the best planning, it's often not until you use a space that you realise how best to make it work for you.
